Anyone over 60 qualifies for a free NHS eye test. In addition, the following is a complete list of all people that are eligible.
A mobile funded NHS sight test can only be provided to those who meet one of the above requirements and cannot attend a practice unaccompanied. They may also be eligible for a free pair of glasses.
Everyone during their life will require help with their eyesight. Regular eye examination help provide not only an accurate assessment of your visual function but also, gauge the general health of your eyes and can result in the early identification of eye diseases and health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
Contact Lens Examinations
More than three million people across the UK enjoy the benefits of wearing contact lenses. Offering the freedom from wearing glasses, contact lenses look more natural, provide an unobstructed view, are unlikely to get lost and are not affected by fogging or rain.
Regular contact lens aftercare are advised at least every year. This enables our optometrists to check the contact lenses are not affecting the external eye health and are providing the best vision possible. Our optometrists will also discuss new types of contact lenses available if they feel they may suit your visual needs better.
